Make things work for America

Like many European brands that had its design standards that could not meet the US market need, Relay, the world’s largest news and media retailer from France had its newsstand and fixture system designed for the Euro railway travel, was not well received by the US airport operators and travelers, commissioned GRID Partners to come up with a news and books design that can go to all the airports in America.

GP designed an upscale décor and fixture system that would be attractive to airports operators, and then custom designed the visual communication to tell an interesting story of the particular city, and create graphics that is unique to that city to leave a memorable impression to the visitors.

The systematic yet customizable design suits each city’s crown jewel airport, helped Relay won many airport concessions, and quickly expanded its network in US and Canada.
