Facing with onslaught of foreign competitors from US and Europe like B&Q, and Home Depot, Hommart chain of home stores must upgrade its retail experience to compete with world-class retailers, hired GRID Partners to design its new retail presentation.
GP started from updating its “Home” logo to be more international and recognizable, then develop a brand style to all in-store visual communication to enhance the customers shopping experience. GP also bring in the international retail practice to reorganize the merchandise mix and layout plan, designed a system of display fixtures to make it easy to shop, and help implement the early prototype stores.
The new stores helped retain Hommart market shares, and won international name brand products to be sold exclusively in Mainland China.
